One of my customers has started to complain about a message that comes up
occassionally and I can't track the cause;

'Running low on virtual memory'

Initially it was when going into a specific Excel spreadsheets but he now
tells me thatit happens no matter what he is in.

Is there something I can do to improve the virtual memory?

When you slowly bleed to death, there is little point in
improving your blood supply. You've got to plug the leak.

When your client's PC keeps running out of memory, you
don't give him more. You find out where the memory
leak is, by monitoring the amount consumed by each
task, and if it returns its memory to the pool on
termination. Use the Windows Task Manager to identify
the rogue application that's eating up the memory!
