Hi,

I always receive message below:
Application popup: Windows - Virtual Memory Minimum Too Low : Your system is low on virtual memory. Windows is increasing the size of your virtual memory paging file. During this process, memory requests for some applications may be denied. For more information, see Help.
I use Windows XP on Pentium 4, 2GHz, 128MB RAM

My page file is:

Inital size: 700MB

Maximum Size: 1000

Anyone has this problem before?

Hi,

Do you have Intel Application Accelerator installed? If so, you need to
uninstall it and install the latest version. The older ones are incompatible
with WinXP and can cause this error message.

If not, then try this: Go to System properties/advanced/performance
settings/advanced tab/virtual memory change and disable the swap file.
Reboot. Delete all instances of pagefile.sys from all drives should any
exist, then reverse the original steps and reenable the swap file. Reboot
once more to finish. See if this helps,

Yes, you stupidly set a maximum for your page file. Who told you to do
that silly setting?

Running XP w/ 128 Megabytes is feasible, but you need to cut
back on the "Eye Candy", such as appearance enhancements.
It also helps to cut back on some of the unnecessary Services
that use up the Physical RAM. (Especially Fast User Switching).
See Alex's article on Pagefiling at http://www.aumha.org/win5/a/xpvm.htm
Also visit these two sites on Service(s).
http://www.blackviper.com/WinXP/servicecfg.htm
http://www.theeldergeek.com/services_guide.htm
But now that Memory prices have settled back a little, I would
recommend you just buy 256 Megabytes and let XP breath a
little. With 384 of RAM, you probably won't need a Pagefile
minimum of more than 200 or less (with normal use).

See MVP Alex Nichol's article on virtual memory management in Windows
XP at http://aumha.org/win5/a/xpvm.htm especially the section dealing
with problems. I suspect that you are getting a false message caused
by some other factor.

Regardless of the problem you are having, you really need to seriously
consider a RAM upgrade of at least another 128 mb for your computer.
128 mb of RAM is only barely adequate for running Windows XP itself
and is woefully inadequate if you ever want to run an application
program of any kind.

See Problems section at www.aumha.org/win5/a/xpvm.htm

This sounds like the ones associated with Intel Application Accelerator
or some Symantec products (I have also heard NAV 2004 mentioned, but
have no confirmation)
