Low Memory on Recovery Drive

My recovery drive is running out of memory and I have no idea why. I am running
Windows Vista Home Basic and have alot of memory on my hard drive. can anyone
tell me how to free up space on the Recovery Drive? Disk cleanup does not
help.
Thank you.

Hi,

Memory is your physical ram and virtual memory, not your hard drive space. A
recovery volume rarely contains much free space, as it is designed to use as
minimal an amount as possible. You should not even be attempting to access
it, or write/save anything to it. It is there solely for a system recovery
from disaster.

Hello,
I never said said I was attempting to write or save anything to my
recovery drive.
As the message stated I said I am running out of space AND DON'T KNOW WHY.
Because of this low space I cannot run a backup or even play certain games
on
my computer. If there is a way to fix this problem I would appreciate
actual help in
how to do this. I do know that in order to run certain programs I need
virtual memory. Hopefully this is enough info. Sorry if not.

I know, but it was unclear as to whether or not you were, and I wanted to be
sure you knew that you shouldn't be.

Actually, your header and message stated "low memory", not that you were
running out of space. It is difficult to judge on these forums how much
technical knowledge an individual has, and your jumbling of terms did not
strike me with a strong understanding of the difference.

Low space on the recovery drive should be inconsequential to the system
unless for some reason the virtual memory had been reallocated and moved
there. Are you certain the low space error messages aren't coming from the
system drive? What size volume is C:? Right click it and select properties,
how much free space is available?
I do know that in order to run certain programs I need
virtual memory. Hopefully this is enough info. Sorry if not.

Most programs require and allocation of memory pages, even if they are not
used. However, these should be on the system drive, not the recovery drive.
Did you alter virtual memory settings either directly or through the use of
some memory management software?
