Loudspeakers not working stating DMA is turned off any relation/id

Dell Dimension 3100, loudspeakers not working, tried other not working,
suspect internal soundcard, have limited knowledge, tried to play a DVD & a
mesage box came up stating DMA turned off -ask in Windows Help hao to turn
it back on; tried that & search result for DMA was 0. Does anybody understand
this?? Thank you

You are more likely to get knowledgeable help with this in a Windows
newsgroup. This one is for Microsoft Word.
