Hopefully I can type this before the bluescreen

This computer (XP Pro Retail, SP1) seems to generate
sevral different STOP errors at random intervals, 0x24,
0x8e, 0x0a, 0xc2. MSKB suggests that many of these are
caused by faulty memory, but Memtest86 and Windows Memory
Diagnostic come up clean after hours of running. The HDD
tests fine with Fujitsu's extended test. I let CPUburn run
for a few hours without freezing or errors. Spy Sweeper
always makes the blue screen appear with stop 0x8e, but
that's the only one I can duplicate.
