Lost the URL box; Help Please

I no longer have the box across the top of my home page to insert the URL I
want to go to. My screen does have the location in dark blue at the very top
of the screen but this does not give me the option to change to URL. What
happened to the box I could type the URL of the page I wanted to go too? It
was up there earlier this morning but it's gone now and I haven't changed a
thing that I know of since the last time I opened Internet Explorer. My
system has been acting so strange lately.

Found it! Thanks anyway. I panic so easily when things change on my system
and I don't know why or how. Sorry for the unnecessary post.
