Lost search engine from address bar

I have lost being able to search (for websites) from the IE address
field in IE's toolbar. I have followed what it says, like Google
tells me to do this & that, but it won't take, even though all is
selected correctly.

I had "Juno search" in there & removed anything Juno from my computer.

There is good probability that I deleted something called
"autosearch". Would this be the culprit?

How do I get this back. I would like to have either the MSN search
engine or the Google search engine take over when I type something in
the address field. I have the Win XP CDs that came with my computer
(eMachines)
..
Thanks, Big Mac

Since nobody answered me, I'll post the answer. Well, sort of a
mickeymouse way around the problem.

Since I remembered yahoo as part of it's software installation asked
if I wanted Yahoo to be the address bar search engine, I went &
deleted the yahoo toolbar, & then went back and downloaded it again.
It asked me of course the same question, & I said yes. Now I had
yahoo search as my address bar search engine. But I wanted Google.
So I was then able to change it in the manner specified by Google that
didn't work before. I still have the yahoo toolbar search enginein
the yahoo toolbar.
