Lost product key

I'm reinstalling XP Pro from the top.

It is refusing to accept my product key, and I am assuming I've gotten it
written down wrong. Is there a way I can confirm with microsoft what my
product key is?

The sticker on the front of the machine dosent have the full key, just a
bunch of digits (5 groups then 4 then 3 then 3)

Any help gratefully received!

Thanks - phoned microsoft uk, explained what happened & they gave me a new key

For anyone else who's in a simmilar situation, this only applies to OEM
disks bought before Aug (?) 2005, after that its "sorry dude" due to a change
to the OEM licencing rules.

Now windows update time....
