lost product code key

How can you obtain the product code key for Windows XP
once your child has destroyed the original packaging and
you have had to reformat the hard drive?

You can't. If you registered your version, try calling MS product support at
1-800-936-5700. If your version came preinstalled, you need to contact the
system manufacturer.

I write such important data on the CDs with a safe marker
and I write it on a notebook, too.

If you have not yet formatted the drive and it will boot,
you can run AIDA32 [Google will find as #1] and it will
return your data.

AIDA32 is still available, it just won't have future
updates. Bel Arc Advisor is a very nice program.

| Aida32 has been discontinued.
|
| The Belarc Advisor will do it. www.belarc.com

As another thread stated, aida32 development has ended. You can still
download it (for now) from http://www.aida32.hu.
