Lost network interface functionality after joining a domain

Hi all.
Well, this is weird. I've just installed Vista Business on my HP nx6125.
If I use it as a standalone machine, all is well. However, if I then
subsequently join our domain (which is a Windows 2003 domain), the next time
I log onto the machine after a reboot loads of services don't start, one of
which is the DHCP service. I can't access the network, the internet,
Windows Update, the lot. When I try to start the DHCP server (or others) I
get an "Access Denied" message. It doesn't matter if I log on as a local
user to the machine or my network account, services set as Automatic fail to
start.

Anyone got any ideas what I is going on.

I have the same problem, when i installed the Vista everything was
fine, but when i joined it to the Windows 2003 domain, some service
stopped working, like Telephony and other, and therfor i am unable to
establish vpn connections. I have tried to change the account from
Network service, up to Administrator, without any luck.

The Telephony service failed to start due to the following error:
A privilege that the service requires to function properly does not
exist in the service account configuration. You may use the Services
Microsoft Management Console (MMC) snap-in (services.msc) and the
Local Security Settings MMC snap-in (secpol.msc) to view the service
configuration and the account configuration.

The Remote Access Connection Manager service depends on the Telephony
service which failed to start because of the following error:

It's obviously a flaw in the way Vista Business behaves after joining a 2003
domain then if I am not the only person who's suffering!
My best guess is that when vista joins the domain, some security rights get
altered when group policy is refreshed, rendering vista unable to then start
the required services.
Would be good if there was someone from Microsoft who could advise us what
we need to do to successfully join our vista workstations to a Windows 2003
domain...

Any updates to this problem? I am experiencing the same after joining
a new laptop with Vista Business to a W2K domain. The join was
successful, but my networking is broken as services no longer start.

i have the same issue. its causing real problems. just got 2 new notebooks
and i have had to remove vista and go back to XP. anyone tried calling
Bill!!!!!!
