Lost mail folders when moving to a Personal Folder

J

Joseph Barneski

Acting as Help Desk, I moved a users folders from under his INBOX (located on
an Exchange Server) to a Personal Folder on a network personal drive.

Everything seemed to go well and the folders moved fine. Then there was a
connection error and I lost connection to his Pesonal folder till the next
morning.

When he logged in the next morning, only a few of the folders were visible.
The rest seem to have disappeared.

I have checked Deleted items, Restore deleted items, looked for backup pst
and ost files all to no avail.

Are these mails gone? Or is there something I can do to retrieve them?

Third Party software is NOT an option.

Thank you,
Joseph Barneski

Judy,

Do you REALLY think if the member had a backup that I would be asking this
question?

I didn't come here for 'typical' help desk tripe. I came here seeking REAL
answers. So please don't use my thread to advertise your 'Survey' and
personal websites.

To all the OTHER WELL intentioned users out there... I can still use some
help with this situation and would greatly appreciate the assistance.

Thank you,
Joe

The only solution I know of is to restore from a backup. Sorry if you don't
want to hear the bad news. Regular backups are pretty basic practice.
