Lost excel log on settings

Kevin:
(I have Win 98 & Excel 97) Normal.dot exists in Word. The
log-on files for Excel 97 are separate "user name" defined
files. Perhaps they are similar for later versions of
Excel. If your users do not log on to the system under
their own log-on names, each use will overwrite the
previous. The log on file on my system is under the
general display under Windows and may contain the name of
the initial user, e.g., Tess8.xls. Look to see if you
have any others besides the initial user. If not, you
will have to check w/ your administrator about
establishing separately named log-on files which will
contain the settings for each person using the computer.

Make that Tess8.XLB(not .xls)

Other versions of Excel have different names for the *.XLB files.

Could be Excel9.xlb for Office 2000

Is Excel10.xlb for Office 2002
