Lost Email

Last month I purchased a computer with Windows XP and Office XP. I have
used 98SE and Office 2000 for several years previous to this. I am having
an intermittent but extremely frustrating problem of "lost" email. For a
year or more I have used a distribution list to send email to myself with
bcc's to a dozen other people so that they don't see each other's email
addresses. Sometimes this distribution list works in 2002 and sometimes it
doesn't. I have deleted all the names, deleted the list, done every
manipulation I can think of with contacts and with the address book, update
now, etc., etc., and I cannot get this to send mail consistently without it
getting lost. I have searched for literally 8 or 10 hours on the Microsoft
support site and other sites and cannot find any mention of this problem.
Can you give me any help at all on somewhere else I can look or something I
can do? This is extremely important in my job, as it is something I need to
do several times a day, every day. If you need more specific information to
help me, please let me know. Thank you.

My explanation wasn't entirely correct. I have a form that has my name in
to TO: line and the distribution list name in the BCC: line. However, even
when I try to send manually rather than using the form, the mail sometimes
gets lost. It is always listed in my Sent Items Folder but does not show up
anywhere. Is this a problem unrelated to the distribution list? Is it a
general mail getting lost problem?
