Lost email in Outlook Express

I lost all my emails after I changed national settings (added language
support for Unicode) and restart my computer. When I opened Outlook
Express 6, it asked to choose a folder to save the settings, I did it
and then when Outlook opened, I found all my emails were gone. Is
there any way to recover the lost emails?
