Hi,
Biiiig trouble and can't find a solution!
I tried to install a dvd-rw drive. I have a cd-rw drive previously
installed, worked fine untill now.... The hard-drive is connected as primary
master with its own cable.

So I figured the cd-drive would stay as secondary master and the dvd was set
to secondary slave. But the machine won't now recognice eithet of the
disk-drives! I have ensured all cables etc. but no help. Both diskdrives are
LG

Bios is set to AUTO for all drives. Should I do something to it?

Thanks in advance, preciate all help!

I read somewhere that selecting CS requires somekind of special cable or
there will be problems?

You already have problems--what are you worried about?

No - misinformation. For cable select the middle connector will be the
Master, the end connector will be the Slave. The end connector furthest
from the middle connector goes to the motherboard (usually a blue connector
if colour coded).

Your manual should be here: For a picture go to about page 5 / 6 in the
manual.

This is incorrect. Just the opposite. Using CS, it's the end connector of
the IDE cable that determines the device is connected as Master, and the
middle connector that determines the device is connected as Slave.
