Lost ability to use 2k server as gateway.

now LAPTOP can NOT ACCESS internet through SERVER (setup as gateway.)
Laptop is W2k Pro SP4; Server is W2k Server SP4.
IE6: "CAN NOT FIND SERVER/DNS ERROR."
NETSCAPE 4.8: "NET IS UNABLE TO LOCATE THE SERVER..."
I CAN NETMEETING (CONF.EXE) BACK AND FORTH.
They CAN PING EACH OTHER.
Laptop CAN PING QWEST 199.168.32.62 (the ISP.)
WAS ABLE TO USE INTERNET/OUTLOOK2K-- COULD GET MAIL BEFORE SHUTDOWN-RESTART.
CHECKED TCP/IP FOR BOTH PCs (the server's were blank--I restored them; the
laptop did not change.)
TRIED UNCHECKING SSL2, SSL3, BOTH...NO DIFF.
LED ON INTEGRATED NIC IS ILLUMINATED; all nic's work.
IT WAS ACCESSIBLE EARLIER TODAY.
If I change tcp/ip on laptop to auto, and connect directly to CAT5 jack (not
through server/gateway) it connects to ISP, and I can do everything.
I want to be able to use the server as a gateway for all of the other pc's.
Help me restore this ability.

It seems you "Caps Lock" key is broken as well.
Go and get a Cable/DSL Router such as the Linksys BEFSR41 and replace the broken keyboard.

It is more the principle at this point. What changed in the server/gateway?
That is my focus at this point. Can you steer me to the item that changed?
