lost ability to send emails in outlook

Overnight lost ability to send emails - incoming emails work fine. Have
tried the following: re-enter account info; checked with work server provider
but account is active and I can send emails from the server directly; have
tried to reset computer to the prior date when it was working; have disabled
my incoming McAfee virus scan. Have also tried to change my outgoing
mailserver to mail.comcast.net instead of using the work provided server.
Does anyone know of a fix?

Do you get any error messages when you try to send mail? If so, what is the
error message (exact text please)?

These are the error messages I get:
Trying to send:
"Sending reported error (0x80042109)"; outlook was unable to connectt to
outgoing mail server (SMTP); if continue to receive this error contact server
administrator or ISP."

When I test the account settings I get the following:
"Find outgoiong mail server (SMTP); outlook could not connect to the
outgoing mail server (SMTP); the problem could be the server name or port; or
your settings may not support SSL; verify port and SSL settings."

"send test email message: the server was found but there was no response
from the server; please verify that the port and SSL information is correct."

This started Thursday when I turned on the computer. Wednesday everything
was working fine and I have not made any changes in any of my settings.

Your ISP may have changed the SMTP settings on their end. See if they have
any information on this on their website. If you can't figure it out, let me
know who your ISP is and I'll take a look for you.

I have comcast for ISP and the outlook email account that I use connects to
my work email with ipowerweb. We have checked with ipowerweb and they say
nothing has changed on their end which is probably correct as my coworkers
are not having the same problem. And I am using the company email with
ipowerweb for outgoing mail server. I have tried to put in comcast as
outgoing mail server but am getting the same error messages.
