Lost ability to "Find Target" after left Click Properties

Hi,
I hope someone can help...........

A few days ago I lost the ability to "Find Target" of any program icons I
have shortcuts for on my desktop.
Previously having clicked on the button (to the left of Change Icon) I would
have been taken to the files folder,
but now nothing.

Can anyone help with the registry key I need to modify to regain this
facility please??

Sorry, But I just don't recall. If I know... I would have a go at undoing
what I had done!

which I then changed to %3 or even 3
BUT with no change as the previous string.

So has anyone out there got a sollution please ???
