I have the same problem, wondered if you figured out a
solution? Only option by tech support was to wipe out the
hard drive. Sys. restore is no use because I ignored the
problem for weeks & rollback date/restore pt. is not
available. Wonder if a driver can be downloaded from
onto a floppy? Probably not tho,?...
Good luck with yours.

I was trying to reinstall my scanner, when something
happened and it stopped downloading so I cancelled the
setup. Now I have lost both my cd-rom drive as well as my
DVD drive. I cannot run my disk to reinstall the drivers
<nor go to the website to download new ones (which I
heard you can do but I don't know how.) I also lost my
internet connection and I'm using someone else's to post
this letter
Help what do I do?
