Losing internet connection

Wondering

I have comcast cable and xp home sp2. If my computer stays idle for any
length of time, the internet connection becomes useless and I have to
reboot. This only started after installing sp2, so I am wondering if this is
a known problem and if so, if there is a fix?

It's your computer. I too have Comcast cable and XP sp2 (although I
have Pro). My computer runs 24/7, and everytime I have ever checked
it the connection was active.
