Losing intereactivity when Save as Presentation mode

When I choose Save As -> Powerpoint show and save my presentation so that it
opens in presentation mode, I lose all the Custom Slide Show functionality
that I have set up within the presentation.

For example, I have a return button on every page to go back to slide 2. It
does not work anymore. I have a return to slide two after each section
(usually 3-7 slides). None of the links work anymore.

Am I doing something wrong? I want to hand this presentation out to
customers but want to make sure it is protected and non-editable.

Any advice is appreciated.

Thanks,

Carsten

Hi Steve,

Well, thanks for replying. I fixed the interactivity issue by saving the
PowerPoint as a 97-2003 Presentation and was happy until I read your posting.
The links work now and I thought there would be no way for anyone to open and
edit the ppt now.

So if I may dare to ask you, is there a way to then protect the ppt from it
being edited?

Thanks,

Carsten
