Losing alarms b/w 2 PCs (Outlook 2002 + Outlook 2003)

I have a Dell Axim X5 Pocket PC with Win Mobile 2003.
I recently changed jobs, and my new work PC has Outlook 2003.
At home, I have Outlook 2002.

If I set a calendar reminder on my work PC (in Outlook 2003), when I come
home and sync with my home PC (in Outlook 2002), the calendar item is still
there, but the reminder alarm is turned off??

I am thinking that this is due to differing versions of Outlook?

Should I get copy of Outlook 2003 and upgrade my home PC?

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

And I'm thinking not, because it works for me with OL 2002 at home and OL
2003 at work. What version of ActiveSync?
