Looping automatic creation of Personal Folders at Startup

About every 2 to 3 times I start Outlook 2007 I start to have non stop
creation of personal folders that starts. I can only stop this by killing
the Outlook process via task manager.

Has anyone every encountered this sort of problem before and if so what was
the solution or work around. This drives me nuts as I have to either delete
my profile or going into mail settings and delete the bad personal folders
one by one.

What kind of account do you have? If it's not an Exchange account or Live
account, Outlook REQUIRES a PST to operate.

It is an exchange account.

I have two personal archive folders open that are local to my drive.

Things always open fine the time after one of these situations where I start
to see infinite personal folders scrolling down the mail folder pane on the
left and I kill outlook via task manager then clean-up all the extra personal
folder that got created. (Note: None of the personal folders created
actually point to any valid file on the drive).

I'd start with a new mail profile.

That is a work around of the problem I'm seeing. Blast the profile and start
all over. However the problem frequently returns so it really is not a true
solution. I tried installing a hotfix that might be related to the issue.
So only time will tell if that helped or not.

Perhaps there is no true solution and I'm stuck with the problem.
