Lookup Wizard

In an Access table, I have a field that is a Lookup Wizard. I notice that in
the 2007 version, when a lookup is used, the datatype is changed to number.
I think this might be my problem. When I create a query which uses this
field, and I add criteria to the field, I get a data mismatch. I need to
find certain records using this field, and it is causing me trouble.

I found the answer to my question. If anyone is interested, you need to take
the field from the table where the information from which the drop-down list
was formed; not from the table in which the lookup was implemented (if that
makes sense).
