Looking for Outlook 2007 online sync service

Guest

I’ve fallen in love with the new features of Outlook 2007. I use it as a
stand-alone application on my home desktop PC. From there I keep track of the
various tasks, meetings, appointments, and contacts associated with my
various contract jobs.

I’m looking for a way to easily synchronize (or take with me) my Outlook
calendar, tasks, and contacts. Can anyone recommend a way to do this? Or can
someone recommend a service (either free or pay) that does this?

By what way do you want it to take the information with you and by what
methods do you want it to be available to you?

I guess what I’m looking for is this: I want to be able to access and change
my contacts, appointments, and tasks from just about any Windows PC. I’ve
tried online-only solutions like Windows Live Mail and Yahoo Mail, but I’m
not completely satisfied with either.

It would be ideal if I could somehow access my information, and make changes
to it, online through the web. Like I said, I’ve fallen in love with the new
way of doing things in Outlook 2007 and I’d like to keep using it if
possible. Though, if you have any suggestions that use older versions of
Outlook then I’d welcome those as well. Or, perhaps there is an online-only
solution that you suggest. The key is that I’ve got to be able to access my
data and edit it from (just about) any internet-connected Windows PC.

An MSN Premium account or Office Live Essentials/Premium will allow you to
use the Outlook Connector which enables you to retrieve and edit your
contacts/calendar/mail in Outlook as well. Another option would to get a
Hosted Exchange mailbox which allows you to have the same + additional
Exchange features like serverside rules, OOF, etc... http://www.mi8.com for
instance does hosted Exchange (I'm not sure if they will host a single
mailbox for you but there are other providers of course).

If the following really means any pc, not just one with outlook installed
your options are limited to sites like yahoo, msn, office live etc... or a
hosted exchange account.
The key is that I've got to be able to access my
data and edit it from (just about) any internet-connected Windows PC.

You could also use VNC or Remote desktop to log into your computer, but
you'd need to use a computer with the service enabled and leave your
computer on and potentially opened to the internet... there is a similar
outlook-only application but again, it leaves your data potentially exposed
to hackers unless you have it secured.

These are all great suggestions! I'm sure something will work for me. I think
I'll look into MSN Premium. It's got a lot of cool other stuff to play with
too (Encarta, MS Digital Image, etc.)

Thanks all!!
