My current printer is a Brother HL-1250 which gave sterling service
until last week. I'm seeking advice on a replacement -
Laser,
Mono,
straight-through capability to allow the printing of sheets of card,
domestic standard (for cost reasons),
UK.

TIA.

Where are you located..? I've got a Brother HL-1050 going spare if you
want to make me an offer and you're within reasonable distance of the West
Midlands (not keen on posting it due to size/cost)..? Not sure offhand but
I don't think it's done much more than 4-5000 pages. I have 2 spare toner
cartridges, but not sure how easy it'd be to get a new drum unit now.

It's a good printer, only replaced it as I wanted a colour laser with
built in duplex unit, ended up with HP-2605dn which is excellent BTW.

Email me direct if interested, replace .invalid with .com in sending
address.

Have you looked at OKI's machines (technically LED rather than laser)
but I think these provide a fairly flat path and can take some
reasonably thick stuff - plus some will take special paper up to about
4' long.

Thank you. I had a pleasant relationship with Oki some years ago;
they were at the top of the recipients of the e-mail shot I've now
done to most of the manufacturers.
