Hi Freeware experts,
could someone recomment a good freeware gallery programm, either in PHP or
beeing a parametrizable SWF object?

It should be able of:

- displaying images sequentially, possibly with fade in, fade-out.
- react to a click on the image with a parametrizable link (per image)
- nice-2 -have: a scrolling thumbnail bar

I hope someone has the catch.

Thanks in advance

Regards
Michel

Michel;

I'm sorry but I don't understand "parametrizable." That aside, you
might want to check out coppermine (coppermine-gallery.net). PHP
-based, open-source. Designed for multiple users and large collections.

They've a large, active user-base and offer a lot of modifications based
on needs. I've been using it on my personal site for photo galleries
and on my business site as a document server (it'll handle most media
files).

Thanks Graig,

Coppermine is far too large and too complex for me.
My dream were a small PHP or SWF with an XML file as argument, where i could
give

-some basic parameters, like title, page transitions, size in pixels,
background colors...
-the url's if the pictures
-the corresponding url's of the links.

that's it.

A lot of gallery programs can do, but none of my knowledge can offer
corresponding url's for links.
....without beeing a monster like Coppermine.

Hmmm. Have you tried JAlbum? It's html/xml You could build php
wrappers perhaps

Yea, coppermine is a bit a of a beast. Understood. Regardless, please
post back when/if you find something that works for you.

it seems to be the best match yet:

I tried to enter html code (with links) as description and...

IT WORKED!

;-)

....at least for most of the skins.
