I've got one that I wrote. It displays message box with a randomly selected
message from a text file. You can put any message (one or more lines) into
the file. The message box title will be whatever you put on the command
line, for example:

CookieJar "Tip of the Day"

It's only 4KB and completely free of spy-, ad-, and mal-ware of *any* kind
- there's no room! ;-)

I don't have a web site to post it, but I'll e-mail it to you if you're
interested.

Regards,
Eric

is there a program that will display a random message box everytime it
is run ?

would prefer to add my own msgs if possible.

Both of these will do this:

The Quote Screensaver
http://www.geocities.com/larrylean99/download.html

Words
http://www.kloecker.net/index_e.html
(scroll down to "free software" section)

I have another on my HD called Quotables, but it was an installation exe
file only, not a zip with a readme and whatnot, so I don't know where I
downloaded it from originally, or even if it's still available, and
Google was a bust (but then, I didn't really search that hard either).
