Long var char or memo field

I have been told I'm getting a ODBC table that has a field defined as
long var char - like a memo field, it is a text field over 255
characters and can be of variable length. I haven't got any test table
to look at yet. Is this going to work in Access? Will I see it as a
memo field?

I can only speak for Oracle Varchar2 columns, but yes.. they will appear in
Access as Memo fields.
