Logon Issue: Domain Not Available

In our school we have wireless laptops running Win2K.
Here's the problem: Several (not all) of them give the
error message that the domain is not available when you
try to logon whether you are using the wireless or if you
plug them directly into the network. When you logon to
these machines locally you are able to see the domain and
our server in my network places. I have tried unjoining
and rejoining the domain, but this did not help at all.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!!

Are you getting a 5719 Netlogon error in the event logs? What SP? Do you see
this with WinXP client or NT 4.0 Clients?

I am not getting any error in the event logs. The laptops
are Win 2K SP3. I don't have any XP or NT laptops, but it
is not happening with our 2K or XP desktops.

thanks.

Just curious but if you let the client sit for say 2 or 3 min after booting
but before logging in, does it find the domain then?

I just got through running all the updates of both
critical and windows on all our HP-Omnibook XE3 laptops,
which use orinoco wireless cards to connect to our
network. But now they will not allow the user to login.
Let me explain, they can login but it will not get past
the "loading personal settings" screen. I can unplug the
card and it goes right in, then I can plug the card in
after and they can get to the internet but still can't
get to our network. Can anyone help!
