Login problems

We are having some issues with a member 2000 server. When we try to login
into the domain, it says:

The system cannot log you on to this domain because the system's computer
account in its primary domain is missing or the password on that account is
incorrect

When we login with the local administrator account /pw that we think is
right it does:

Looks like its logging in says saving your settings and then goes back to a
login screen

Any thoughts?

remove and readd it to the domain its domain account has got damaged or
removed
