Login Failure to Domain from WAN machines

Event ID: 1054

Windows cannot obtain the domain controller name for your
computer network. (An unexpected network error
occurred. ). Group Policy processing aborted.

Things tried:

rebuilt WINS
reloaded DNS
Confirm network connectivity(ping, tracert)

HELP!

Theses PC's have not changed OU's. This problem occured
last night after a nightly server reboot.
