A few users have the logger_assert file appear on their
desktops after login. Sometimes goes away after deleting,
sometimes doesn't. Doesn't appear to affect anything.
Running Windows 2000. Could anyone tell what causes this
and the remedy?

Maybe just me, but I've never even heard of "logger_assert" file.
Do you have _any_ pointers/explanations already available?

Have you monitored this file (eg Filemon.exe (sysinternals))?
