log-off problems for users

Alan

I have four users set up on my computer. When I log in on
any of the user names other than mine, there is no option
to log-off in the start menu. Is there a trick to getting
them to show up? It gets kind of old having to restart
the computer everytime one of the kids wants to log-off.

Thanks

Alan,

To show Logoff on Start Menu, remove the "nologoff" entry from registry:

1. Click [Start] [Run] [Regedit.exe]
2. Backup the registry first (using File > Export option)
3. Goto this location:
HKey_Current_User\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explore
r
In the right-pane, look for the value "NoLogoff" and set the data to 0.

for XP Pro. log on with administrative rights then
run "gpedit.msc"

expand user configuration -> administrative templates ->
select "start menu and taskbar". in the right pane
locate "remove log off on the start menu"

verify if this is configured.
you have the option to disable this
goodluck..
