Log In Security

Is there a way to add Log In security to a specific database without it
propigating to any database I open on my machine?

Yes, install user-level security, but don't have users join the new
workgroup. They will still be members of their original workgroup, so no
logon will be required to open any database file on their computer. To make
your secured database use the appropriate workgroup (without having to join
it each time), create ashortcut which includes the location of the security
file and launch the secured database from that shortcut. The shortcut's
target would look similar to the following...

"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office\msaccess.exe" "path and file
name.mdb" /wrkgrp "path and file name.mdw"
