Locking Title Overlays to Clips

Is there a way to 'lock' title overlays to clips?

I use title overlays extensively to make training videos and not being able
to, or knowing how to lock the title overlays to clips will send me to an
early grave.

Yesterday I set up a short training video, only about ten minutes long. It
consisted of ten clips and each clip had three to five title overlays. After
finishing off the overlays, I realized that I had not added transitions and
a few transitional titles. After adding those, all the title overlays were
out of sync and I had to realign almost fifty of them.

Anyway, it's done, and I'm happy now. But for future reference, can it be
done or should I make it a rule to be sure that all transitions and
transitional titles are complete before starting title overlays?

There is no 'locking' option avil in MM. :0( It is
frustrating,...especially with 40-60 minute projects. I just do rough set up
of audio and titles as I develope my video and resign myself to saving major
adjustment of audio and titles to the time after my video is set. Even
then,...changing anything...(additions, extending a clip, change a
transition, etc) results in much repositioning.

Good Luck
