Anything to lock desktop icons in place...?
My pointer is so fast ( I like it that way ) that I'm
constantly shifting the desktop icons out of place.

What will *fix* them in their positions?

Thanks to all who replied.
I have the save desktop layout
which is very handy.

My original post was not that clear.
I want to set my desktop icons so that they will
not move from their set positions - even if I try to drag them to
a different position on the desktop.

Does a program exist which will do this?

To the best of my knowledge ....... No.
Best you can do is restore from your saved layout when required.

Try a PC Mag utility called Iconlock, available at
http://roverbot.tripod.com/iconlock.htm

I just tried it on XP and it works OK, so hopefully it will work on
Win2K as well.
