Location of desktop background pics

Hi;

Where are the bitmaps for windows desktop/backgrounds generally kept on
windows ( I'm not on a windows box otherwise I would just run a search
)

They are under c:\windows (The root windows directory) and they can be
under C:\Documents and Settings\<USERNAME>\Application
Data\Microsoft\Internet Explorer if the user has set the background
from internet explorer
