local printer doesnot show up

We use Terminal Service of Windows 2003 and my OS is winXP. I am trying to
print to my local printer, but it does not appear when I connect to terminal
server. I don't know why it is not redirecting. The other location where we
have VPN can redirect easily and we have the same printer everywhere, so I
don't think it is driver issue. In local resources print is checked, there is
no problem with local drives redirection, only issue I have is with printer.
My printer model is HP 2420dn. Please help me to solve the issue. Thank you.

Hi Vera,

Thank you again, you have helped me to solve the issues in past, so i am
very much hopeful to get solution this time. No, I don't see any event like
1111 or 1105 or 1106. I have checked the group policy in which all options
were "not configured" then I disabled the redirect lpt port in group policy,
but it doesn't help.

Hello Vera,

I found the solution for it. Actually it wokred after disabling the "Do not
allow default printer redirection" in group policy. I think it redirects only
the printer attached to LPT port and not to the USB port. Anyway, thank you
for your support.
