I use my outlook, and the calander data sync'd to my
pocket pc all the time but wish there was a way to
download all the national holidays and other unique days
into my outlook calander in one easy download.

Is there such a place you can get this information from.
If you can help me. Please feel free to email me direct.

Thanks

Steve

You can import holidays into Outlook. Tools, Options, Calendar Options, Add
Holidays.

Pat,

Thanks for the quick response. Now that I did that I find
that I do not have any events past Dec 31, 2002. I am
going to try looking on Microsoft web site for more recent
events. Do you know of any place I can get that info.

Thanks

Steve

Pat,

I found the download at the Outlook 2000 website. Here is
an interesting thing. The most recent calander does not
show Grandparents day as being September 7th. I wonder
If I can now go back to my wife and tell her it was not my
fault I forgot about it :)

Thanks for your help
Steve

Steve,

I think that's a very valid reason for missing the date :-) My husband
knows if it's not in Outlook, I don't know about it!

The holiday schedules that I provide at www.calendar-updates.com do include
Grandparents day. They also include several other popular dates not
included in the Microsoft Holiday list such as the first day of the seasons
and DST dates. You can view a complete list of the holidays at:

http://www.calendar-updates.com/Holidays/us.htm

Also, each calender event includes a link to read about the holiday. Many
of the holiday information pages have some very good music (mp3 format)
relating to the holiday. For example, after the events of 9-11, a police
officer named David Birkenhead wrote a very moving song as a tribute to
America. The song is called "What So Proudly We Hail" and David has granted
me permission to post the song on my website. You can find it on the
Patriot Day web page at:

http://www.calendar-updates.com/Holidays/US/patriot.htm

It is a very good song. If you have not heard it you may want to check it
out.

Best Regards,
