Loading a Printer NOT THROUGH THE ADD HARDWARE WIZARD

Loaded a new Konica Pagepro1300w Laser Printer using the disc - manual
advised not to use the ADD NEW HARDWARE WIZARD.

Printer works okay, but nor every time I turn computer on it wants to use
the ADD NEW HARDWARE WIZARD as it has spotted the new printer.

How can I stop the computer thinking the printer is not already loaded ??

Either it's trying to tell you that the printer is not correctly installed -
in which case uninstall and reinstall it:
