Loader failed to initialize

I restored my pc and lost Word. Tried to reload Office 2000 and I keep
getting this error. The installation starts, I hear a little music, then a
WINDOWS INSTALLER window pops up saying: "The installation source for this
file is not available. Verify that the source exists and that you can access
it".
I get another window at the sam time which says,
"The feature you are trtying to use is on a network resource that's
unavailable.
Click OK to try again, or enter an alternate path to a folder containing the
installation package".

Hi Colin,

See if clearing the Office 2000 MSI information helps.

After that, reinstall Office.
