load windows services or driver

Hi, Im on my attachment, and they given me some problem to solve, I have cpu
running on XP, that have built-in keypad. The problem I have is if the
keyboard(SP/2) is not there(not plugged-in) the keypad wont work. I've done
some researched that in XP, there is auto-detection for checking the
keyboard. If there is no keyboard detected, XP automatically doesn't load the
i8042prt.sys and kbdclass.sys driver, which is supposed to be the keyboard
driver if im not mistaken, so I suspect that this is the problem, since the
driver is not loaded so the keypad wont work.

My question is, is there a method to always load those 2 drivers
automatically with or without the keyboard. Or something that can "tell" the
XP that there is a keyboard even thought I never plugged it.

Any help?
Thanks..

So why don't you want the keyboard plugged in? I'm having trouble
visualizing how you have a built-in keypad without having a keyboard.
Please clarify by describing your computer and telling us why you don't
want to have a keyboard connected. I don't understand your first sentence,
either. What does "Im on my attachment, and they given me some problem to
solve [sic]" mean?

ok sorry if I didnt explain clearly, attachment here i mean is Im on internship from my college. I cant explain much about the computer spec, because its a company policy that I didnt know much either since im only an intern. But what I know is this computer is specially design for controlling some machines, so basically its something like a controller. and for the keypad(its something like a numpad), its connect directly to the motherboard n its not plugged to the usual port in the back of a cpu. I dont plugged the keyboard because they didnt need the keyboard to operate the machine. The keyboard is not needed to operate the machines, so they dont want to plug the keyboard. sorry my English is limited, so I hope that's make things clearly, if not, could you help me, whether its a way to force those 2 driver to automatically load without detecting the keyboard. Thanks.

You need to ask your teacher or review whatever reading materials they've
given you. There is no way I can diagnose hardware on a non-standard setup
like that and you should do your own homework.

Shut down the machine and plug in a keyboard if the keyboard is PS/2 or
connect a USB keyboard.

Okay after done some study on the device, I'll re-explain evertything, hope
it make sense now. I have a system that running on XP, I have a keyboard pad
that connected to keyboard encoder that attached to the motherboard. The
problem that I have now, is the keyboard pad is not working if there is no
external keyboard attached to the encoder.

I think that if XP does not detect any keyboard, it doesn't load the
keyboard driver(i8042prt.sys and kbdclass.sys). Is it true like that?

If that is the case, is there a way to run those driver manually even XP
does not detect any keyboard? Or maybe is there a way to make the keyboard
pad is being recognize as a standart 101/102 keys keyboard?

AFAIK, there is no way to load the drivers manually. Once again, why can't
you attach an external keyboard? And once again, you have non-standard
equipment. If it isn't working, you need to contact the mftr. of that
equipment and speak to their tech support people.

Actually its just a normal pc,only it is use for special purposes, thats why i
don't want it to have a external keyboard attached. It is something like a
tablet pc,and it should be portable, and of course it's not good to see the
keyboard dangling around. And if its okay to just plugged the keyboard, why
would I post this question from the beginning.

Anyway,I just ask is there a way to load the driver manually, and you answer
it anyway, so thanks for your time and reply. Hope I can figure it out
somehow. Thanks again.
