LiveWeb AddIn and PlaceWare

Kevin

Hi,

I downloaded and installed the nifty LiveWeb PPt Addin -- and I am trying to
test its use in a Placeware session. Unfortunately, Placeware will not
upload the PPT file that has my test use of the Add-in. The error i get is:

==========================================================
Couldn't convert this powerpoint presentation to the import format (.pwp)

Couldn't start the converter utility.

Exception occurred.
[0x80020009, 0x0].

============================================================

Any idea if this is a PPT issue? a Placeware issue? Has anyone expereinced
this and ciphered a fix? Does anyone know if this is just not doable.
Someone told me that the animation commands are disabled in Placeware --
probably because of the conversion to pwp -- and so am wondering if the same
applies here.

Thanks for any help.

I would suspect that Placeware doesn't know what to do with the Live Web add-in, so it won't convert.

I think Placeware has a URL option somewhere in there, doesn't it? You may have to show the web file using that.

At any rate, I'd contact Placeware about it, as I think that's where the issue lies. But I don't imagine that add-ins like this are supported.
