LISTNUM

I have tried to use the LISTNUM field to reset numbering for my numbered
lists and have not been successful. This is what I inserted after my
numbered list:
{LISTNUM \s 0}

And this was the result:

7. If the confined space is left for any reason, the atmosphere must be
re-tested before re-entry.
{LISTNUM \s 0}
CONFINED SPACE CLEANING PROCEDURE
8. All workers must be equipped with appropriate personal protective
equipment.
9. All workers must be equipped with supplied air.

Could the problem be related to the fact that I am also trying to use
Master/Subdocuments? I.e., this is a subdocument within a Master. Or did I
enter the field wrong? I.e., I entered it as "autotext", body style, hidden.
I am so very frustrated.
