linux client authentication

RED

I have recenltly started playing with linux and want to
know just how I can have the linux client authenticate to
my W2K AD for access to network shares etc.

I have No problem connecting to the shares individually,
but entering user/password repeatedly gets annoying.

I do realize much of this may be on the linux side, but I
need to know what to do on the W2K side as well.

Thanks!

Install Samba (freeware from www.samba.org) on the Linux box. It will make
it "act" like a Windows machine. It will not allow you to browse AD, however
and I don't think there's any software to allow it to search or use AD.
