Links to pop-up windows don't work in IE6

I have Internet Explorer 6. Just recently I began having
a problem clicking on links to pop up windows. I click
on the link and the tool bar flashes but the pop up
window doesn't open. These links do function if I use
AOL or a different computer. Any suggestions?

Kas, this is the same problem I am having. It seems obvious that is the latter downloads of ex have effected this popup control because as I said in my query that if I restart my system at a previous date then the popup control works

Do you have a popup blocker preventing the new browser from opening up?
Hold the CTRL key, and see if the new window comes up.

I have disabled my pop up stopper and I have also tried
holding the CTRL key. I have tried to restore my system
to a previous date and have been unsucessful. I have
also tried to do a system recovery but apparently my user
partition can't be found or created. I am using Windows
XP.

Make sure your anti-virus is not blocking popups.
