just out of being nosey, any links to software (games, apps, utils, not just
linux distros) that'll work on machines less than a pentium (80486 or
older)?

seems i'm not the only one interested ? after all, if they still boot up,
they've got to be good for something other than a doorstop ?

i think henk's got some links, anyone else ?

There are lots of sources for this kind of Software. Some big archives
like Simtel, Garbo, SAC still have their DOS/Win3x sections online. And
there are a few dedicated sites, too. A good starting point is:

Better than poking around in this seemingly endless source of wealth I
would advice you to define a (couple of) task(s) for your 'Oldie' and
ask for apt freeware.

And (seeing you x-posted your question to acfg) there is no need to
look for a game other than Nethack. Even the latest version will do
fine on a 80x486; and it's guaranteed to making you addicted in no
time... ;-)
