links to Excel Graphs in Powerpoint not working properly

I have a Powerpoint presenation that I attached/imbedded links graphs that
reside in an excel file. For past two months, it has worked perfectly; upon
updating excel file then opening Powerpoint file.... I am prompted to 'update
links'. Upon saying 'yes'. graphs are updated on my slides. Suddenly
yesterday it 'broke'. When I update links in Powerpoint, embedded
links/images change in size (get slightly taller & narrower - so appear to be
falling off top/bottom of page)... AND, the graph itself is cut off on the
right side (for example, graph that runs wks 1-20, suddenly only shows wks
1-88... but graph clearly showed weeks 1-19 prior week, so guessing # of wks
is not my issue). If I use 'paste' versus 'paste special link'... the image
appears in its entirety (weeks 1-20); however I must use links vs since I
have 49 graphs that get updated on a weekly basis and to continously paste
the images would be laborious and inefficinet. I have tried EVERYTHING I can
think of and am at my wits end. Any help/suggestions would be greatly
appreciated. Thank you!!!!!

Thanks for replying... I am using PowerPoint Version 2000 SP-3 and Excel
2000. My problem is particularly frustrating since I've been using the file
for a month or two, updating weekly - - and never had this problem. I
reaaaallllly appreciate any help/guidance you can provide. Looking forward
to hearing back from you. Have a great day!!

Glenna, one add'l question if I might impose.... is there way to quickly edit
link path? Let me explain. In my Powerpoint file, I established the links
to Excel graphs was by: open Excel, click on graph, hit CTRL+C, open
PowerPoint, click on slide and hit Paste Special Link. If I then go to Edit
Links... I see links: filename/sheetname type: chart OR type: worksheet
(depending on whether graph occupied worksheet by itself OR two graphs on
same worksheet now linked onto two separate Powerpoint slides. Can I somehow
edit path to point to new file name if choose? Or, must I go thru the entire
copy/paste link for each graph? Your help on this is not critical -- I'm
just looking for shortcut -- my initial issue of images of graphs being
cutoff is the important issue at hand. Thanks again!!
