linking work sheets

Hi,

I'm trying to get one worksheet linked to another worksheet and am struggling.

The first worksheet contains a calendar of all the events that are happening
over a year, and i need the second work sheet to list all the upcoming events
for me.

For example:

worksheet 1
JAN FEB MAR APR
FESTIVAL X X
CONCERT X
RACES X X X

Worksheet 2
by entering, for example 'Jan' into a cell it lists all the events coming up
in January.


Is it possible to do this in excel???

How about an alternative.

Select your range (A1:M9999 (all 13 columns))
Then apply data|filter|autofilter (in xl2003 menus)

Then use the arrow in the January column to show the rows that have an X in it.
You'll see just the activities that occur in January.
